[GeoNetwork-users] Using ftp for download

Hi

I am Macharia from Nairobi, Kenya. I've installed Geonetwork on Windows
Server 2008.

I have ftp links that I want to use as the online resource i.e "File for
download through FTP".

However when i choose this option, the download button that appears in the
particular metadata record is not there.

My question is whether it is possible to use the ftp links and still have
the download button associated with the metadata record available.

Hi Macharia,

Could be that the privileges to download are not set.
Open the metadata record and select the 'Privileges' button
and check that the download option is ticked for groups
you are granting permission to download.

Thanks for the response Andrew, but the download option is checked, so I
don't think its the problem.
