[GeoNetwork-users] Validate Metadata

Hi List,

when I import data in XML in the ISO19139 format using batch import, single XML file or whole folder content, the metadata is not validated.
So the metadata is getting imported with errors, for example when changing <gmd:title> with <gmd:title2> it's getting imported also.

Thanks in advance for any hint how to turn on validation of batch import / insert metadata.
Jan

Hi Jan,

I´m new to geonetwork so I would say that
<gmd:title2 aren´t working because title2 does not exist at the namespace.
the files for validation are at web/geonetwork/xml/validation. I think it
doesn´t matter if you have a batch import or a single matadata import.

Sorry I can help you any further.

best regards
Sarah

Hi, it doesn't matter if number or not (gmd:titleTitle works ...), seems that there is no validation by default and we don't know how to turn it on.

Thanks for any hints.

hi jan,

do you have any further information of that until now?
Perhaps the "2" (or numbers at all) is left outside and in fact of that it worked. Don´t really know.

Hi Sarah,

thanks for thinking about the question - and thats the point!
It should't work as title2 doesn't exist in namespace, but it is working in both cases ...

best regards,
Jan
