help
I want to configure my geonetwork on mysql database but once i install linux centos 5.2 it doesn't create a room for doing that during installation how then do i know the default root password .

Hi,
the installer assumes your mysql has the username and password generated by
the installer.
You can see what the values are in
<installation-directory>/geonetwork/web/WEB-INF/config.xml -- search for
"mysql" in that file. You can also change the values here to what they
really are, if you have a pre-existing mysql database.
