[GeoNetwork-users] What's the best way to move a GN setup from one machine to another?

Hi All,

First of all sorry for cross posting.

Secondly, I want to move a GN 2.7 setup from one machine to another. I
need to preserve the content of the postgresql database because of all
the metadata and configuration stored in it. What is the best way to do
this?

I thought that I could do a pg_dumpall and then load it up onto the new
machine but then I thought that GN's backup process might work.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

John

John,

I did it using the pg_dumpall method, it worked well for me. On the new
machine just deploy the war-file and switch to PostgreSQL in the config.

Cheers,

-moenk

Hi,

I'm doing so, too.
I guess it's the quickest way.
