[GeoNetwork-users] xml.metadata.insert?

Hello everybody,

For the ORCHESTRA project we have written an wrapper around an OGC CSW Catalogue with ISO profile.
I am currently looking into GeoNetwork, because we are thinking to exchange the CSW catalogue used by our
wrapper with GeoNetwork. The CSW interface of GeoNetwork does not support the transaction operation.
Therefore I am looking for another option to sent an xml request including an metadata entry to GeoNetwork for storage.
Reading http://www.nabble.com/Metadata-insert-td9591769.html#a9596800 I have the impression that
xml.metadata.insert might be the right option? Is there a documentation about this services? How does
the request of xml.metadata.insert look like?

Thanks in advance and best regards,

Desiree

xml.metadata.insert take the following parameters for input:
DATA
GROUP
SCHEMA
TEMPLATE
TITLE
CATEGORY
STYLESHEET
VALIDATE

You could have a look to the xml metadata insert form in the
administration interface.
You have to login before be able to call that service (xml.login could
be use).
