[Geoserver-devel] 2.1.2 is out, final checks and OSX installer needed

Hi,
the 2.1.2 is basically out, it's uploaded on SourceForge and the download
page is ready and published already.
What's missing:
- the OSX installer
- someone to kick the release tires, try it out
Based on the change log at
http://jira.codehaus.org/secure/ReleaseNote.jspa?projectId=10311&version=17445
I'd say the following announcement would be a fit:

------------

The GeoServer team is pleased to announce the release ofGeoServer
2.1.2. This is mostly a bug-fixing release, with a number of minor
improvements in the administration UI and REST configuration.
One minor new feature is the ability to mark a layer a "non
advertised", layers flagged that way won't appear in the capabilities
document, making it a good way to only publish a layer group without
having to tell the world about the layers included in it, and for any
"work in progress" layer that the administrator still does not want
the world to see.
We would also like to thank some GeoServer users that went the extra
mile and contributed code patches for this release:
* Lucas Heezen for contributing a REST configuration flag that allows
to filter out geometryless feature types from a store
* John Hudson for adding the "ISO 19115:2003" as a type option in
Layer Metadata URL
* German Osin for making sure stores are workspace qualified in REST
config feature type list
* Milton Jonathan for fixing an issue occurring in REST config when
switching a layer from one store to another
* Tony Young for a autoconfiguring SRS and bounds when publishing a
layer via REST config
* Tim Schaub for fixing a double encoding issue in WFS exception reporting

Contributions like these help keep GeoServer responsive to the needs
of our community and allow us to continue providing a stable and
useful product. Thank you! Thanks also go to GeoSolutions for
sponsoring this release. Please download GeoServer 2.1.2, try it out,
and provide feedback on the mailing list. Your feedback helps
GeoServer to continue to improve.

------------

Feedback appreciated

Cheers
Andrea

Oh? You are project admin, so you can change your own rights over there.
I just added you the ability to play against the file release system,
if you want to upload
the file (I cannot for the next 3 hours, but if it's not there I'll do
the upload tomorrow)
