I managed to tag the release for Mark (so he can proceed now that he has restored commit access with codehaus).
With that in mind the 2.1.x branch is open for biz.

The release is almost done, as evidenced by the emails sent. There
are two steps I've got left, writing up a blog entry which will wait
until morning, and building a OSX installer.
I don't have a mac setup for this at the moment, so if anyone can put
one together and upload it, or otherwise send it to me, I'd be
appreciative.
