[Geoserver-devel] 2.10-RC1 preflight checks

Available on ares please test http://ares.boundlessgeo.com/geoserver/release/2.10-RC1

Jody Garnett

I tested geoserver-2.10-RC1-bin.zip with openjdk-8-jdk 8u102-b14.1-2 amd64 on Debian unstable.

I checked artifact sizes and versions for sanity, and GeoServer layer previews and demo requests. The only thing I noticed is that both WPS aggregate demos fail with "HTTP response: 404 Not Found", probably because I did not install the WPS plugin. Perhaps the XML demo requests should mention this requirement in a comment? Everything else looks good.

Kind regards,
Ben.

Thanks Ben, I tested bin and DMG, release artifacts are up now, with website and blog posts live.

Last steps (available for your volunteer pleasure):

  • email (this is also a call for testing participation)
  • fork off 2.10.x so we can end the code freeze (this involves copying a bunch of jobs on ares)

Jody,

there is a typo in the GeoWebCache top-level pom (GeoTools "17-SNAPSHOT-SNAPSHOT"):
https://github.com/GeoWebCache/geowebcache/pull/439

There are no GeoWebCache 1.11-SNAPSHOT Maven artifacts until the GeoWebCache build is fixed. This will cause the GeoServer build to fail when you update the dependency versions on master.

Kind regards,
Ben.

Thanks. The geowebcache-master build is fixed so we should now have 1.11-SNAPSHOT artifacts.

Kind regards,
Ben.
