Okay a few things are ready for testing:
As usual osx late for the party, we will have to send out a search party.
Testing on windows 7:
- install worked okay for me
- the start geoserver script worked fin - but did not open the config page as I am used to?
- The stop geoserver script did not work, I had to hit control-c in the geoserver window to stop the application
I would like if someone else can test on windows as my environment may be suspect due
