[Geoserver-devel] 2.9.2 preflight checks

Please download and try http://ares.boundlessgeo.com/geoserver/release/2.9.2/

  • I note that the mac build was not generated, okay larry fixed that now (thanks!)
  • blog post taking shape

Please respond with platform and feedback.

  • bin download worked for me on osx 10.12
  • exe download worked for me on windows 7 vm
  • dmg download worked for me on osx 10.12

Hi everybody,

since we build a new version of geoserver (2.9.1) we are facing problems
that http OPTIONS requests on ows?request=getFeatureInfo returns 403
(and therefore the application does not do the the ordinary GET
request). The same application works with a 2.9-SNAPSHOT build somewhen
before 2.9.1.
Update: we build a 2.9.2 version are still facing the same problem :frowning:

Any news about preflight and Geoserver?

Die .p7?- und .asc-Dateien sind ungefährliche Signaturdateien (digitale
Unterschriften).
In E-Mail-Clients mit S/MIME Konfiguration (.p7?) oder PGP-Erweiterung
(.asc) dienen sie zur:
- - Überprüfung des Absenders
- - Überprüfung einer evtl. Veränderung des Inhalts während der
Übermittlung über das Internet
Die Signaturdateien können ebenso dazu verwendet werden dem Absender
dieser Signatur eine E-Mail mit verschlüsseltem Inhalt zu senden.

In E-Mail-Clients ohne S/MIME Konfiguration oder PGP-Erweiterung
erscheinen die Dateien als Anhang und können ignoriert werden.

Hi,
The release is finalized and out.

The way I see it an OPTIONS request is not part of the OGC WMS protocol (which solely relies on GET, with some extensions
allowing POST), whether it works or not seems like it should be completely accidental, a client relying on it having a specific behavior is not compliant.

If you want you can open a ticket https://osgeo-org.atlassian.net/projects/GEOS/issues, given that we’re discussing out of standard
behavior I’d also consider submitting a pull request or have someone work one for you to restore the previous behavior.
