Hi,
as I was fixing the builds on Jenkins this morning I noticed that the java11 build were being queued
and slowing down the JDK8 ones.
Since those are running in their own local repository and are not deploying, I created a new “Java11”
throttling category and set them into that one, alone, this way they can run in parallel with the JDK8 ones.
While I was at it I took the liberty of creating yet another category, “CITE-nightly”, which should allow
to run most builds in parallel with CITE tests, avoiding the common queuing that we see when CITE
do run. The idea is as follows:
- All CITE tests are in the “CITE-nightly” category only (moved away from the “GeoServer” one)
- All nightly builds are both in the “GeoServer” and “CITE-nightly” one, preventing them from running concurrently with both normal builds and CITE tests
This should allow normal builds to run concurrently with CITE tests without disrupting them (they only use nighties as inputs).
There might be some rogue test checking for GeoServer running on 8080 locally, if that happens, we’ll locate it
and make it a true online test
Cheers
Andrea

Thanks, that seems to be making builds go through quite a bit smoother, and everything still seems to be working properly.
