Hi,
following the request in http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-3352
I've created a patch that adds a link from the GS menu towards
the exising embedded GWC (see the attached screenshot),
so it basically points to .../geoserver/gwc
The addition has been made as a new module to make things work
fine even if people decide to remove GWC integration from GeoServer
(thus they can remove its "UI" as well).
It's really just a little thing, but since it's a new core module,
I thought I'd ask before committing.
As for the future, I guess it would be nice to have a UI there
to actually configure the embedded GWC?
The upside is obvious, the downside would be that the standalone
GWC would not benefit from the same UI and, besides that,
I heard ideas about having GWC configuration be made in pure
javascript instead?
Anyways, just wondering.
Cheers
Andrea

Do you need a PSC vote to add? Not sure... but I just reviewed the patch and it looks good.

A positive PSC vote would be good. I mean, it's a single class module,
and that class just redirects to "../gwc", but still, it's a new
core module.
So yeah, I would feel more comfortable with some consensus around that.
Cheers

Well, I guess this is as much feedback as I'm going to get
I went ahead and committed, if there is any trouble (people asking
the module be start from community etc. etc) I'll just move around
the module as needed.
Cheers
