Sounds good, we have some discussion and a bit of code review so I am +1. I have approved your developer request for commit status. Just to keep in mind, this only gives you commit access to the community module, and not in any other modules :).
So to proceed I suggest you add your profile to svn as described on this page:
http://geoserver.org/display/GEOS/GSIP+22+-+Community+Modules
If you want any help setting up profiles for it just let me know.
