[Geoserver-devel] Add Java 17 JDK to build.geoserver.org?

Hi,

I need to publish a spring-boot:3.x/spring:6.x Java client for GeoServer ACL.
The problem is there’s no Java 17 JDK in build.geoserver.org.

Is it possible to add one? since that’s the only way to publish the maven artifacts.

TIA,

Gabe:

I do not have shell access, we will need to contact GeoSolutions admin I believe.

Add it as a topic for tomorrows PSC meeting.

Hi Gabe,

We should be able to add a Java 17 JDK. Can you access https://build.geoserver.org/manage/configureTools/ ?.
You should be able to add it under “JDK Installations”.

If not, I can add it.

Cheers,
Torben

Hi Torben and Jody,
thanks for the insights, and sorry for the slow turnaround, it caught me on vacation.

Unfortunately I can’t add it myself. I get a “groldan is missing the Overall/Administer permission” error.

So please add it at your earliest convenience.

TIA,

Alright, I’ve added it. It should show up in the JDK list as “OpenJDK 17.0.2 (build 18+36)”
Let me know if you run into any errors when running a build on the new JDK - I haven’t tested it yet.

Cheers,
Torben
