[Geoserver-devel] ares builds and branches

With the end of the feature freeze we have a 2.6.x branch … and associated build jobs:

http://ares.boundlessgeo.com/jenkins/view/geoserver/

  • Looks like the 2.6. jobs are turning over
  • And 2.4.x jobs are disabled - perfect!

http://ares.boundlessgeo.com/jenkins/view/geoserver-cite/

  • 2.4.x jobs are disabled
  • 2.6.x jobs are created … but not scheduled yet

Do you mind if I create a 2.6-cite-all and schedule it in the same time slot 2.4-cite-all used to occupy?

Jody Garnett

I thought I already did that… maybe not. The jobs are there… did you just create them? Regardless, yeah we can kill all the 2.4.x jobs. Currently they are disabled.

You created them, … except for 2.6-cite-all which I have now created and scheduled @daily - appears to be working good.

Next awkward question - what does the http://geoserver.org website point to right now?

Near as I can tell we do not have a link to a nightly 2.6-SNAPSHOT build? I suppose the issue is only for a couple of weeks … but still not sure we thought this one through.

There are pages for the nightlies but as afar as I can tell none of them work. I would say we just point all the nightly links to the relevant directory on ares.

What we do not have at the moment is a good place to put 2.6 nightlies vs master nightlies

So the 2.4.x and 2.5.x nightly pages work correctly, the links on the master download page are out of whack as the website is configured with 2.6.x as master.

I will see what I can do.
