[Geoserver-devel] Artifacts for GeoServer release 2.21.5 ready for testing

Hi All,
After doing release 2.22.3 we also took the opportunity to do release 2.21.5 although it was unscheduled.

Please, if you have a chance, try them out and report any issues.

Hi Daniele,
gave it a spin:

  • Startup ok
  • All previews work, various formats (OL, GML, GeoJSON, KML)
  • Round of admin panels, no issues found

Looks good to me!

Hi Jody,
we noticed that the Windows installer build is green, but no installer is available in the 2.21.5 artifacts uploaded
on SF. For context, it’s also missing in 2.21.4, but for example 2.22.3 (done friday) has it.
I’ve also checked manually, indeed it’s not here:
/var/lib/jenkins/workspace/geoserver-release/distribution/2.21.5

Wondering, maybe the exe is stuck somewhere on the windows server?

It probably has expectations on what license.txt or license.md file is located where. With 2.21.x reaching EOL is this a problem to solve?

Confirmed:

pandoc.exe: …\source\licences\NOTICE.txt: withBinaryFile: does not exist (No such file or directory)

You could update the NOTICE.txt on the 2.21.x branch if you wish. Or not provide a windows installer…

Ah, I see. We can live without the Windows installer, as you said, it was not even planned for release.
