bin starts up and tests fine:

  • I could not confirm which marlin rendering engine was in use via the server status page; not sure if this worked previously

We cannot test docker until after release publish step (as it downloads from sourceforge).

Now that release is published I was able to test docker successfully…

docker pull docker.osgeo.org/geoserver:2.22.3

docker run -it -p8080:8080 docker.osgeo.org/geoserver:2.22.3

minor feedback: A shorter announcement that just links to the release notes is fine (no need to duplicate).
