[Geoserver-devel] backport GEOS-9570 Allow the possibility to customize the GeoJSON GetFeatureInfo output format using free marker templates

Dear all,

I’m writing to ask permission to backport “GEOS-9570 Allow the possibility to customize the GeoJSON GetFeatureInfo output format using free marker templates”.
The new functionality allows to customize the GeoJSON getFeatureInfo output by means of freemarker templates, but by default the GeoJSON output will continue to work as it does now: no default templates has been added, and the output customization will be issued only if header_json.ftl, footer_json.ftl and content_json.ftl are explicitly placed in the geoserver data dir by the user. No backward compatibility issue is thus foreseen and a cooldown month has passed. Here the JIRA ticket https://osgeo-org.atlassian.net/browse/GEOS-9570.
