Hi,
28 days ago the pull request to add the “jpeg or png” format has been merged to master.
I did not hear about complaints or build failures related to it, so I’m asking if the PSC
is ok with a backport.
The GeoServer pull request is mostly additions:

The GWC one, required to make the format work in a caching scenario, required a few
core changes in order to handle a format that might change across the tiles of a meta-tile
being saved, and the idea that we need to check the tile on disk to figure out its actual
format:
