Hi,
right after the 2.9 RC the per layer group services support landed
on master ( https://osgeo-org.atlassian.net/browse/GEOS-7463 ).
The merged pull request is here:
https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/pull/1539
It’s been there for a couple of months causing no troubles.
Now, I would like to backport on 2.9.x, and given this is a cross between
a bug fix and a improvement, I would like to backport on 2.8.x
Any objection?
