[Geoserver-devel] beta release / code freeze warning

Welcome back from foss4g, we have a GeoServer 2.12-beta release scheduled for this week,

I would like to start the geoserver release process on Sundary (this is a weekend activity) - please reply to this thread if you have any functionality or fix trying to sneak in under the wire.

The beta release marks the start of our code freeze, during the code freeze we will not be accepting new functionality onto master - allowing the team to focus on bug fixes.

Jody,

if the freeze is not yet in effect, this PR from Niels for the community module gs-geofence-server is ready to be merged:

[GEOS-8239] Support Limits and LayerDetails in geofence internal server REST
https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/pull/2477

Release manager discretion.

Hi Ben,
community modules are not part of the release, thus they are not affected by the freeze (unless the PR
contains also core changes, in that case it might)
