Voted +0, it looks like a good development but I am not close enough to the problem to know the tradeoffs.

The extra tab in the UI, is that all new? I have been trying to group settings by protocol our output format - so I wonder if we could have a WCS heading.

Jody,

the tab is not new: it is added by the NetCDF Output plugin. There is a similar section added in the Other Settings part of Global Settings, with all the other settings added by extensions. These changes are specific to the NetCDF output format. Adding a WCS setting section sounds like a good idea but is out of scope of this proposal.
