[Geoserver-devel] Cite test failure reports flooding the list

Hi,
the cite tests failures have been flooding the list for a while now… I did send the following mail
8 days ago, but it had no one following up.

As far as I understand them, these tests can only be analyzed by someone with direct
access to the server… can anyone from Boundless please have a look?
We have a 2.8.x release in 15 days, and cannot do that without tests actually passing (plus,

all these mails are making the list un-readable)

Cheers
Andrea

Andrea,

this is the first item on the agenda for Tuesday's meeting. I am the release manager for 2.8.1 so you have my full attention. :-/

North America is sleeping, and I should be too ...

Kind regards,
Ben.

Hi,
the 2.8.x and master branch CITE tests have been all failing for the
past couple of days.

As far as I can see, GeoServer just fails to deploy, e.g., this is what
the tool checking if it's up gets at the end:

Pinging GeoServer at http://localhost:11010/geoserver
+ curl -G http://localhost:11010/geoserver
   % Total % Received % Xferd Average Speed Time Time Time Current
                                  Dload Upload Total Spent Left Speed

   0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 --:--:-- --:--:-- --:--:-- 0
100 1296 100 1296 0 0 22234 0 --:--:-- --:--:-- --:--:-- 22736
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1"/>
<title>Error 404 NOT_FOUND</title>
</head>
<body>
<h2>HTTP ERROR: 404</h2><pre>NOT_FOUND</pre>
<p>RequestURI=/geoserver</p>
<p><i><small><a href="http://jetty.mortbay.org">Powered by
jetty://</a></small></i></p>

And of course the test fails.... it's just that looking at the workspace
from the
UI I cannot see any GeoServer logs at all, and if I get a nightly build and
start it up,
it deploys without any issue

Has anyone a clue about what's going on there? The 2.7.x CITE builds are
apparently working fine

Cheers
Andrea
