[Geoserver-devel] Cleaning up community section

Hi,
the idea of making a build that includes community
module made me finally send a mail about the cleanup
of the community section.

The current community section of GS contains a mix
of old, dead modules, modules that still have some interest
from developers and modules that are trying to push for
an integration in extension.

What I would like to do is to, at the very least, remove
the modules that are dead and that get no interest
from the current developers.

I think I'll try to list the modules, propose an action
for each, and allow everybody to comment on the action
to be taken?

Btw, this is something to be done regardless of whether
we do a "fuller" build with selected community modules,
or not

Cheers
Andrea

+1
go Andrea!

app-schema will shortly be planning the process to go for supported in
GeoTools - I think we are close to resolving the last major functional
limitation, though improved configuration support needs considering in
Geoserver. Then we'll get on to some testing on some more community
schemas, then we are ready to start jumping the hoops. If GML 3.2 is
available we should get quite a bit of INSPIRE led activity if we have
a build ready with it.
