Looks like comments in confluence somehow got disabled.
I assume that wasn't intentional, so I've enabled them again.

I don't know who disabled them or why, but imho comments should
stay disabled. The usual way I see people comment on wiki
pages there is to ask for help. We have a mailing list for that,
and comments on the wiki pages will get un-noticed for
months.
So, from my own personal perspective, I'd say disabled comments
are a "good thing" (TM)
Cheers

I disabled them some months ago (for all of the reasons Andrea stated).

Okay, I'll disable again. I got a bit confused because I (think I) saw a recent comment by someone with admin rights.
Maybe we should disable all comments or have the theme state that it is not possible to post? Otherwise it definitely looks like you should register / login to post comments, it could potentially frustrate users to jump through those hoops and still not be able to find the "Add comment" button.

I'm okay with that. Less confusion is always a good thing.
