Hi,
I ran an eclipse DeployAll but nothing get build under community directory, what is the purpose of the community project (1.4.x\community\org.openplans.geoserver.catalog )
That Fix that I have included earlier, maybe that should not be included, I don't know could some advise me on this.
What I kinda figured out is that the community project is not being used for the geosever application, so what is it's sole purpose??

The community stuff is something i just came up with for unstable plugins. It could also be named experimetnal. By default it is excluded from multi project tasks (ie. build, eclipseAll, deployAll, etc..)
To add back in you can later the root project.properties and change the multiproject.includes property. However i am pretty sure that not all the stuff in community will compile.
