[Geoserver-devel] Confusion about "password" and "passwd"

Today I solved

http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-5652

with a wont fix. The problem was that the user uses an XML element “password” instead of “passwd”.

There is an example how to add a PostGis database in

http://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/user/rest/examples/curl.html

This example does not use a password, I am asking myself if we should add an XML “passwd” element to the example to avoid further confusion.
