[Geoserver-devel] coverage URLs: problem converting them back?

Hi,

does anyone know if there might be a problem, perhaps with converters, for file like coverage URL's (may be restricted to windows paths)?

I've an ArcSDE user complaining his URL of the kind sde://user:pwd@anonymised.com:port/#table gets mangled as sde:\user:pwd@anonymised.com:port\#table

So just wanted to know if this showed up before, as I've seen a bunch of messages about URL hanlding but didn't follow the threads too close.

Cheers,

Gabriel

Hi all,
I'm trying to add an ArcSDE raster data source into Geoserver 2.0-RC1, in Windows XP.
I read that the URL of the raster should be of the form sde:
//<user>:<pwd>@<server>/#<tableName>

I got this error:
Could not list layers for this store, an error occurred retrieving them: ArcSDE Raster URL must be of the form sde://user:pass@anonymised.com:port/[dbname]#rasterTableName -- Got sde:
\sarreal:xxxx@anonymised.com:5151\#LCEU100_00

It seems that there are some problems with slashes... or not?
Connected to this problem, in the changelog for the 2.0RC1 version I find

[GEOS-3310] - Implement a custom ArcSDE coverage store configuration panel

but I can't see any custom ArcSDE coverage store configuration panel. Am I doing something wrong?
I have no problems with ArcSDE vector data stores.

Thank you very much for any advice.

Ale
