[Geoserver-devel] Curious about GWC nightly builds

Hi,
I see that the main build server has jobs to build GWC master and stable
every night, and apparently the generated WARs are compied somewhere
on the file system… but I guess not here:
http://gridlock.opengeo.org/geowebcache/

Are the artifacts published anywhere?

On a related note, I see we have both trunk and master in the geoserver nigthtly
build folder, this might be confusing for users trying to get the latest build:
http://gridlock.opengeo.org/geoserver/

Cheers
Andrea

It looks like the nightlies for gwc have been silently failing since the git commit id plugin was added to the main gwc pom. Reason being it requires java 6 and the builds were being run by java 5.

What is the current gwc policy on vm version? Following geotools and geoserver?

Anyways, switched master over to java 6, will wait to hear more before moving forward with stable.

Yeah, i symlinked trunk to point to master. Rationale being that folks with
scripts that pull down new artifacts might be relying on the existing url
structure. That was more just a temporary thought as we made the transition
though. I can kill the symlink.

Ah, I see, no problem, I thought “trunk” was stale
