the links to ResourceInfo object are linking to
http://rancor.boundlessgeo.com:8080/display/GEOS/Catalog+Design#CatalogDesign-resources
which (for me) seem not reachable.
Can this a server problem, or a documentation problem?
Should I create an issue for that?

It is a documentation problem, we shut down the wiki - and have been finding dead links on and off in the docs since then.
For these “design documents” some of them have been ported over to the GitHub wiki:
In this case the docs were part of - https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/wiki/GSIP-9—New-Catalog
It does not look like these design docs were ported, Andrea has a dump of the old wiki and has ported some of the documentation on request.
I suggest in this case we link to the resource info javadocs or something.

Eh, Andrea _had_ a dump of the old wiki, but I haven't received any request
about it in months, and it's gone
