Hola Leandro,
I think the person that can better help you here is Mike, cc'ed, so when writing to the list you'll have better chances of being helped if you do so in english.
Leandro I guess when you and Mike decide on what the best course of action is to hold translations on svn you can go through the normal procedure which would be having a current commiter review your patches (I of course volunteer), sign out the copyright assignment document, and after a couple good patches being proposed to have commit rights yourself.
Mike, I'm translating Leandro's message bellow for you:
Hi all,
I've translated to spanish some sections of the documentation, while I was needing it. The idea is to contribute these translations back to the project and keep on completing the rest. I've been reading how to work with the docs.
I've went through step 1. Downloaded the source files (with svn co https...)
What I'm not sure is how to edit them. For example, when editing C:\geoserver_1.7.x\doc\user\source\introduction\index.rst
Should I call the file the same? Should I, for example, save it with an additional extension, like, for example ".es"?

Hola a todos.

Mi duda viene con la edición de los archivos. Por ejemplo al editar
C:\geoserver_1.7.x\doc\user\source\introduction\index.rst
¿Debo llamar al archivo con el mismo nombre? ¿Debo ponerle por ejemplo la extensión adicional, como por ejemplo “.es”?
