[Geoserver-devel] Early backport of GEOS-10012 Support inclusion vendor option to disable Style elements when rendering legends

Dear all,
I’m writing to ask permission for early backport of GEOS-10012 Support inclusion vendor options to disable Style elements when rendering legends.
The new functionality allows to disable Style elements when rendering by means of a VendorOption that can be defined at the FeatureTypeStyle, Rule or Symbolizer level.
No backward compatibility issue is foreseen since the option to have any effect needs to be explicitly provided by the user in the SLD, while by default legend rendering works as usual. Details in the related Jira ticket linked above.
