[Geoserver-devel] Eclipse google format plugin 4 spaces indentation on documentation.

Hi all.

As I see on dev documentation, there is not ‘official’ support for 4-spaces-indentation on Google-format-plugin for Eclipse.

https://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/developer/eclipse-guide/index.html#code-formatting

I recently compiled a default 4 spaces indentation branch and tested it with Eclipse 2018-12 Enterprise Java IDE and works fine, it can be downloaded from:

https://github.com/fernandor777/google-java-format/releases/download/1.7-gsgt/google-java-format-eclipse-plugin-1.6.0.jar

Branch:

https://github.com/fernandor777/google-java-format/tree/geoserver

I was wondering if it’s good idea to add this version on Geoserver developer documentation? Probably this plugin could be useful for anyone else using Eclipse

Fernando Mino

Yes, please. Can you add it to GeoTools (or link it somehow) too?

Yes of course, I guess it should be appended on Use of Formatting Tools section in:

http://docs.geotools.org/latest/developer/conventions/code/style.html
