I’m using Geoserver 1.6.0-beta, and I received the following error message when trying to view the list of SRSs:
The following exception was thrown:
org.geotools.factory.FactoryNotFoundException: No factory of kind "GeoserverCustomWKTFactory" found.
The steps I went through to get it were: Config->data->featuretypes->New, then click on SRS list
I'm guessing you already know about it, but I couldn't find it in the issue tracker.

Are you running beta1 or beta2? I just tried beta2 and saw no problem.
How are you running? Binary or tomcat?
Also... you might have more luck with a recent nightly build from 1.6.x
trunk. It is probably more stable then the last beta. If interested you
can grab it from here:
http://geo.openplans.org/nightly/trunk/

And I can't reproduce it either... hum, can you try downloading a GeoServer nightly from http://geo.openplans.org/nightly/trunk/ and
see if you can still reproduce the issue?
