[Geoserver-devel] Extent-based security ?

I've gathered the security module of GS implements layer (and namespace) security, which is great... even greater would be to allow users to read only data within a certain bounding box: there are plans for it ? And, if not, how difficult would it be to implement such a check ?

if you check the history for this ml, someone already implemented it.
It might be interesting to get that code, review it and commit it.

Actually, this afternoon I searched this ML on this subject, to no avail... do you recall the time frame of this or the approximate title of the thread ?
