So I have updated my training course for uDig to make use of a recent GeoServer ... and boy does open layers look bad. We were unable to get it to edit on any browser;
- firefox 3 - nope
- opera - very close; we could edit but got errors when saving
- internet explorer - nope
Is this actually a problem with geoserver 1.6.4? WFS-T is one of the things that makes GeoServer rock - so the demo should work 
Or should I take this to the #openlayers IRC channel?
