We spent the day fighting with Maven (heck it is just like normal geotools development). The goal is to get the FM branch ready for group development, rather then just one person hacking in eclipse.
Thanks to those who showed up, the positive feedback on the TypeBuilder was appreciated (on behalf of Justin of course).

Did you save the log - there's probably info in there worth saving.

Windows I still open, a lot of it is just GT chatter, but I can save it .. mostly it is me remembering to send messages as we figure out
how to get geoapi, and the geotools to build.
Can sum up the progress as:
1. Use maven 2.0.4 - 2.0.3 will not work
2. GeoAPI jar is now uploaded to the maven 2 repo
3. FM branch works for maven eclipseAll, but not yet maven 2
Logs are posted to geotools.
