[Geoserver-devel] gauss kreuger shape and raster

Hey!

I have a shape file (roads) in gauss kreuger. i also have the tfw and prj
file. the prj file looks like this:

PROJCS["D48_3_degree_GK_Zone_3",GEOGCS["GCS_Hermannskogel",DATUM["D_Hermannskogel",SPHEROID["Bessel_1841",6377397.155,299.1528128]],PRIMEM["Greenwich",0.0],UNIT["Degree",0.0174532925199433]],PROJECTION["Gauss_Kruger"],PARAMETER["False_Easting",5500000.0],PARAMETER["False_Northing",5000000.0],PARAMETER["Central_Meridian",15.00],PARAMETER["Scale_Factor",0.9999],PARAMETER["Latitude_Of_Origin",0.0],UNIT["Meter",1.0]]

I can add shape in geoserver with no problems. and i can display it in
mapbuilder.

than i also have a raster. it's a tif in gauss kreuger (same as shape).
there's a tfw and same prj as above. and then i create a new CoverageStore.
This works. But then i try creating a coverage from this store i get this
exception:

The following exception was thrown:
org.vfny.geoserver.global.ConfigurationException: Converting Envelope to
Lat-Lon WGS84: org.opengis.referencing.operation.OperationNotFoundException:
Bursa wolf parameters required.

Can anyone explain why shape is working and raster is not?

Mmmm, it seams like we are not considering the Lenient datum hint … let me see where !!!
I’ll give you a feedback ASAP.
