Hi all,
i notice that the new GeoExt Based SLD Editor (styler) on Internet Exporer 7) is very very slow, and sometime makes crash IE7.
There are scheduled fix?

Hi Francesco,
There have been some recent updates to the styler code and we will be planning to release an updated extension for 1.7.2. Which is scheduled for release next week.
Hopefully that might fix the issues. However perhaps Andreas or one of the other geoext devs can further comment.

I had some discussion with Francesco and Andrea, who knows a bit about Francesco's geoserver installation, yesterday. It turns out that the geoserver instance the Styler was tested on has 100+ layers. Given the fact that IE's XML parsing is slower than in Firefox, I am not surprised that this is slow. What puzzles me, however, is that Francesco reports freezes in IE. This may have to do with a style with something strange in the SLD that the XML parser does not like.
Since the initial release of styler, these scaling issues have not been tackled, but improvements here are on our todo list.
