[Geoserver-devel] GeoServer 0.98 released, with Oracle support.

We are pleased to announce the release of GeoServer 0.98. We are moving
along towards a 1.0 release, and encourage users to download and measure
our progress. The latest version is available at
http://prdownloads.sf.net/geoserver/geoserver-0.98.tar.gz

The big announcement of this release is support for Oracle databases in
GeoServer. Information on using Oracle in GeoServer is available at
http://geoserver.sf.net/documentation/user/advanced.htm#oracle. The
GeoServer team would like to thank Sean Geoghegan for his hard work on
making this excellent addition to GeoServer. He also contributed some
great Connection Pooling code, which is now used with Postgis as well.

The other new feature is the Dispatcher servlet, allowing a single entry
point for http get requests, as long as the request kvp pair is used.
For more information see
http://geoserver.sf.net/documentation/user/advanced.htm#dispatcher And as
always, we welcome all sorts of comments, as your feedback is essential to
making GeoServer the best open source WFS. Send to the list or to
geoserver@anonymised.com

  thanks,
