[Geoserver-devel] geoserver-1.4.x_merge_wcs questions

Hello:

After starting the latest from this branch, I am noticing the following:

1. When going to http://localhost:8080/geoserver/srsHelp.do, I see
some EPSG codes being declared twice. Is this a result of reading a
WKT file AND the HSQL DB? Anything wrong with doubly-defined codes?

2. When going to http://localhost:8080/geoserver/welcome.do, the
following output is logged in the console:

204126 [SEVERE]
org.vfny.geoserver.config.web.tiles.definition.MultipleDefinitionsFactory
- IO Error while parsing file '/WEB-INF/tiles-defs_en_US.xml'.
ServletContext resource [/WEB-INF/tiles-defs_en_US.xml] cannot be
resolved to URL because it does not exist
204128 [SEVERE]
org.vfny.geoserver.config.web.tiles.definition.MultipleDefinitionsFactory
- IO Error while parsing file '/WEB-INF/tiles-defs_en.xml'.
ServletContext resource [/WEB-INF/tiles-defs_en.xml] cannot be
resolved to URL because it does not exist

Neither [/WEB-INF/tiles-defs_en_US.xml] or
[/WEB-INF/tiles-defs_en.xml] exist on my system.

From 1st glance it looks like the the createFactory() method in

org.vfny.geoserver.config.web.tiles.definition.MultipleDefinitionsFactory
is trying to append a locale to the filename. No indication that the
[/WEB-INF/tiles-defs.xml] file was found though...

Hi Alex,

  1. I think that the problem is that we are using both epsg-wkt and epsg-hsql … I’ll try to remove one and see what appens

  2. This is no a real problem … I have writeen a class which extends the struts tilex FactorySet class in order to allow GeoServer reading tiles-defs.xml filer directly from different module jars and the same for struts-congif.xml.
    However I have removed the log error.
