[Geoserver-devel] GeoServer 2.4.6 release next week

I plan to release GeoServer 2.4.6 next week (Tuesday if all goes well) from f4c29c0208c8451fbd021b5da84238fc92bbd455:
https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/commits/2.4.x

This release is a little early to get in before Easter. As this is the maintenance branch, only critical bug fixes will be considered; if you have one, please let us know.

Ben, this is your own interpretation, not was the PSC voted on (certainly
not what I voted on).

If you want to restrict the maintenance branch to critical bug fixes
please make a new GSIP, the current rule is that bug fixes (of any kind)
can be backported, to backport a feature one has to ask for a vote,
regardless
of the type of branch (and one can argue about how dangerous the backport
is of course, but there is no set in stone rule that forbids backporting a
feature).

Cheers
Andrea

I stand corrected (for the second time! My brain lost that commit.). I will reword this as "this is the maintenance branch, so let's be super-careful!". OK?

Simone,

I do not believe that this change has been merged on any branch. I have adjusted the fix versions of the issue to reflect this. This change looks useful, but in my view it is too late to be included in 2.4.6.

Kind regards,
Ben.
