Hi, i’m Ezequiel Aranda from Santa Fe, Argentina.
I’m working in my engineering thesis’ , that is about developing a client (i don`t decidee if is gonna be a thick or a thin client) for a PDA. this client has to communicate to GeoServer to show some geographic information. It is actually a prototype to develop an architecture that works well and show the integration between a mobile dispositive and an geographic information’s server.
I wonder if someone have any documentation or anything else to help me with this work.
Thanks a lot
Ezequiel N. Aranda
P.D.: Sorry about my poor English.
Hi Ezequiel.
guess what? I'm from Santa Fe (province) too, Rosario though I live in
Bilbao from a few years ago. Glad you're working with geoserver!
I have an idea rounding my mind related to your question.
I really would like a client application made in OpenLaszlo:
http://openlaszlo.org/
May be you could take a look at it. If it seems like it could fit your needs,
I may be able to help you.
Best regards,
y aguante Rosario Central!
Gabriel.

Hi Ramsus!
Thanks for your very quick answer. This is my first contact with the list and i’m very surprised.
I tell you that my thesis is about SVG and JAVA coding too.
The idea is to show some SVG info and set an arquitecture to futures development on that area.
Basiclly, there is has to be a kind of client in the PDA that show some SVG info stored in the GeoServer, that communicates with the dispositive via Wireless. This will be usefull as a prototype for future implementations related, Because the idea is to generate some util documentation too. This is the idea of my thesis in three lines.
I`m sorry i can’t help you a lot with SLD.
I hope mw keep in touch too,
greetings,
Ezequiel.

I have been working at my thesis since Februar and I have now hopefully understod a bit about how this stuff works. Maybe your task is a bitt easier and I realy hope that you will get the help you need. My task is to describe how SLD works, but the guys haven’t realy been abel to do so, but now it seems to happen a bit so I can just hope that we soon will have a better and more userfriendely sevice.
I hope that we can keep in tuch and help eachother.
