I notice that there is no geoserver-announce list. I suggest you set one up. It can be used to send notifications of each release. You could use this list to simplify your release process. (Currently you send emails to a number of annoucing web sites.

That's a good idea Cameron. Right now sending an email to all the separate lists and news sites is tedious, but it does sort of make sure they get the message, without having to subscribe to the list. I will bring it up in the next meeting.
