Thanks for the quick response. Will check with the 2.9 version and let you know if the issue remains same. And also i would expect to see just a table without geometry.

created a
new Spatialite database (*.sqlite file) which is just a table without
geometry.
Then I added a new Spatialite data store on GeoServer web administration
page.I have Proj and Geos installed in my Ubuntu machine.
Could you try with something more recent (e.g. 2.9.x)? 2.5 is a couple of
years old and is well out of support.If the problem continues, can you say exactly which versions you’ve installed?
Also, what are you expecting to be displayed if you don’t have any geometry
info?Brad
