[Geoserver-devel] GeoServer Importer possible issues

Dear all,
before opening JIRA issues for this I would like to hear from you if someone has some idea on what is going on, maybe it is just my mistake.

Today, while testing the GeoServer Importer with GeoServer 2.7.x (both the war and the plugin downloaded from geoserver.org) I experienced the following two issues:

  1. The strangest one… in order to let the Importer working correctly I had to put manually on GeoServer the following jar

commons-vfs2-2.0.jar

Otherwise I get a

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.commons.vfs2.FileSelector

  1. Trying to follow the steps here

http://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/user/extensions/importer/rest_examples.html

in order to download a CSV file, I get a state: NO_FORMAT from the Importer.
Taking a look at the logs, it tries to parse it as a JSONFeatureFormat instead of a CSV one

Any idea?

Many thanks,

Alessio Fabiani.

Commons-vfs got upgraded recently, evidently I've failed to also update the
packaging for the extension. You're the first to notice. Open a ticket.

No, not sure why that is happening.

Cheers
