Thanks Clint, I went through and added some explanation - hopefully we have captured what justin told us yesterday.

Two things seem missing from this guide:
* definition of a "conf"
* definition of a minimal "web.xml"

Since the goal is to get the service up as quickly as possible lets save the above points for the programmers guide.
