[Geoserver-devel] Geoserver mvn clean install fails on windows 7

Hi all,

I wanted to test things with a fresh copy of the geoserver code, so I cloned the git repo and tried an mvn clean install. It ultimately failed, outputting these messages:

Tests in error:

The same procedure worked on a Mac and on a Fedora machine. Any explanation why the mvn install fails on Windows 7 environment?

Thanks in advance

Because Windows locks files that any reader keeps open, and there is
basically no core
developer left on Windows.

Or else, there was not... since the world insists on using Windows, I've
reluctantly
re-installed Windows 7 on one of my computers, after years of being Windows
free,
and started working on making the build possible again in such environment.

There are still failures, but the windows build server got from solid red
to intermittent
successes:

Any help getting it to a stable blue is very much appreciated

Cheers
Andrea
