I have installed Geoserver 2.6 and Post 2.0. I added the layer as WMS and the layer disappears and changes opacity when zoomed out on layer preview on openlayers.

Changes opacity? Anyways, try disabling the database on the fly
generalization option in the postgis store configuration

Thank you for the help Andrea. I disabled on the fly generalization option and now, the disappearance has stopped but the opacity still lowers when I zoom out. Is there any other fix for it?

There is no relationship between opacity and zoom level (unless you put one
in your SLD, that is), I believe you're explaining as opacity something
that is not opacity at all. Can you show some screenshots so that we can
see what you mean?

It is good to know that. Now, I am even confused, The problem has disappeared. The only thing I did is, I added stroke rule with color, opacity and width, and color, related to my other issue. Now, the opacity doesn’t change and it is opacity 1.0.
