Actions

   -

H2 removal backport

Starting to get backported

   -

it will ignore the existing h2 database (leaving it on disk), and create
   a new hsql database
   -

update notes describe the manual step (only required if you have
   external h2 server)

Notes:

   -

netCDF still remains using H2, ideas/funding welcome
   -

GeoFence also uses H2 as the default storage for rules but it’s possible
   to migrate
   -

H2 was intended to be the second version of HSQL, and then it wasn’t …
(HSQL has a version 2 now which is not H2).

Release preparations

Peter Smythe has volunteered (thanks!) Jody is going to help guide :slightly_smiling_face:

   -

Petre needs access to jira access
   -

   Build server
   -

   Website commit access
   -

Jody will probably do the ruby step

Jody automated making a release announcement post, so something to test and
provide feedback.

FOSS4G planning

Jody is running a workshop

code-sprint:

   -

going to do the first stage of opengis transition stuff
   -

sprint priority - identify decisions that need to made
   -

referencing - integrate interfaces into geotools packages
      -

metadata - used in a few places in referencing (used for citations)
      -

remove geometry (keep bounding box and ordinate used by referencing)
      -

filter / expression / style have immutable / mutability boundary
      -

presently we clone / copy all the time as we can never be sure
         -

idea: fix the javadocs to be clear on what is happening
            -

idea: see proposal for using builder to “clone” for editing
         -

aside: We should check back on OGC board meeting; they may provide
   input/funding
   -

action:

   -

jody: Ask user-list for examples

Bug splat / chit chat

https://osgeo-org.atlassian.net/browse/GEOS-10983

   -

coverage.xml generated with srs actually can read
   -

but the raster store cannot actually connect, user defined projection
   -

a solution is to ignore user defined projection if possible (example
   vendor WKT geotiff tag)

https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/pull/6900

   -

   geopackage output cleanup tmp files
